Octagon Theatre
The Octagon Theatre is a thrust stage venue, hosting opera, classical and popular music, as well as dance, theatre, stand-up comedy and seminars.
With 683 tiered seats, the Octagon is incredibly versatile. The thrust stage can be increased to 12 metres wide, or entirely removed, allowing an additional 53 seats. Removing half the stage reveals an orchestra pit.
Facilities include a green room, two large dressing rooms for 70 cast members and a 120 square metre rehearsal studio. A comprehensive lighting and sound rig and large lamp stock ensure most technical requirements can be provided in-house.
The theatre's excellent sightlines are unique in Perth. All front of house areas were refurbished in 2013, including new seating and lighting to ensure a comfortable experience for theatre guests.
All technical and front of house staff are provided by University Theatres.
