Parking

Most theatre events at UWA take place after 5pm on weekdays, or on weekends.  At these times all parking at UWA (other than service, reserved or disabled bays) is free of charge and available to the general public.

Between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday visitors to UWA can park in visitor parking bays where they must purchase a ticket from a ticket machine.  Visitors may not park in Red, Yellow* or Reserved bays at these times.

(*There are some periods outside of student semesters and exam periods that yellow permit parking is available to visitors free of charge.  Generally this applies from December to early February.)

Visitors are reminded to check the parking signs carefully at all times, as fines will be issued if parking rules are contravened.

The following car parks are well located for access to theatre venues at UWA.  Please see the UWA Campus Map to help you locate these carparks.

Carpark 1
Enter UWA campus at the corner of Winthrop Avenue and Stirling Highway and turn left.  Carpark 1 is immediately on your right.  Carpark 1 is convenient for all UWA theatre venues, especially Winthrop Hall, Undercroft, Somerville Auditorium (PIAF film season), Octagon Theatre, Dolphin Theatre and Sunken Gardens.

Carpark 3
Enter UWA campus off Hackett Drive (Hackett Entrance 1).  Carpark 3 is convenient for all UWA theatre venues, especially New Fortune Theatre, Octagon Theatre, Somerville Auditorium (PIAF film season), Winthrop Hall, Undercroft and Dolphin Theatre.

Carpark 20
Enter campus off Fairway (Fairway Entrance 1) and turn left then right in to Carpark 20.  Carpark 20 is convenient for all UWA theatre venues, Sunken Garden, Winthrop Hall and Undercroft, plus the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery.

Visitor Parking

Should you be visiting UWA between 8am and 5pm on a weekday during semester you may find it difficult to find a parking space.  Carparks 1, 3 and 20 each have limited short term visitor parking spaces (3 hour max - $1.10 per hour), however these are likely to be in high demand.  Carpark 23, located at the north end of Hackett Drive (river side), is a large long term carpark (60c per hour) that usually has spaces available during peak times.

If you have any questions about parking at UWA please contact UniPark on 6488 3020.
