University Theatres rely on a team of casual technical staff to support the Technical Manager and Head Technician in the operation of productions and theatre maintenance across all our venues.
Casual staff are employed under the conditions of the Live Theatre Award. Duties may include the rigging of LX and Audio equipment, LX and Audio operation, set construction and fit-ups, bump-in and bump-out and setting up staging, seating and examination desks.

Preferred experience
- Live theatre or concert industry
- Specialised knowledge of theatre lighting
- Specialised knowledge of audio systems
- Carpentry or cabinet building
- Manual handling
